What is Martell?
the name of the company producing the drinks? What is the string of blue? and different from Cognac, XO, the whiskey? What is the best? The most expensive?
The answerer above me what I said Martell is: is a French brand of Cognac. Generally, There are three degrees of Cognac. The lowest to highest are: VS, VSOP, XO, then owned labels like Cordon Bleu, Louis XIII, Napoleon, XO and Cordon etc. Bleu are outrageously expensive – I was in a restaurant recently in the Cordon Bleu cost $ 250 a shot! Stick with VS until you decide if you like Cognac. After have tested the XO, I think it's too expensive. I'm pretty happy with the VSOP as the best match of quality and costs. Cognac And it really has nothing to do with whiskey. The whiskey is essentially fermented and distilled grains, while the brandy is made from grapes. Both are aged in oak barrels, but the similarity ends there.
