Whisky Marinades

Help! How long is too long to marinate meat?
I put some steaks in a soy / whiskey / sugar marinade for a barbecue last night this afternoon, but friends passing through the next city they most want to meet for dinner. Is it okay to let the steaks marinate for one more day?
Can not be right … Depends on the level of sugar, salt and acid. If any of these levels are very high, which can really begin to heal, or worse, "cook" meat. Meat and fish are cured at higher concentrations of sugar and sodium (salt). Seviche basically marinated seafood salad composed, are "cooked" in the acid of citrus. Vinegars have the same effect. If the meat starts to heal it will harden. I Remove the meat from the marinade, seal them in a plastic bag after removing as much air as possible. The meat will probably be fine … hard if you know why … I hope all turns out well and at least enjoy of your friends! We must have our priorities, right?
