A good Hot Toddy recipe?
I have a really cold. I think some delicious punch could make me feel better. Does anyone know of a good recipe? NOTE: Do not drink alcohol, so no whiskey. =) All this sounds delicious. Susakin recipe I tried out, and I feel much better. It is tasty as well. No more stuffy nose! = D Thanks for the recipes – I'll be trying each of them until my cold goes away completely.
My mother always gave us hot lemonade …. mmmm …. not bad. hot apple cider or hot apple juice with a little cinnamon or a cinnamon stick candy is good. I had a hot buttered rum once and was very nice. Here is a recipe from Emeril: Hot buttered rum Ingredients 1 stick unsalted butter, softened 2 cups light brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground 1 / 2 teaspoon grated nutmeg Pinch cloves Pinch salt Bottle dark rum Boiling water Directions In a bowl, beat butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Refrigerate until almost set. Pour about 2 tablespoons of the butter mixture into 12 small cups. Pour about 3 ounces rum in each mug (filling about halfway). Cover with boiling water (to fill the other half), stir well and serve immediately.
