The best alcohol for cocktails?
Hello, A friend is visiting and would like to make cocktails
We will not have much money, but have proposed buying in most of three bottles, but not sure what type of alcohol to buy to get the maximum value / versatility. We do not like creamy Or powerful as milky beverage Advocaat / Baileys / Whisky, so are leaning toward a vodka, tequila …. and more. We are also open to suggestions not have done before cocktails. Any suggestions for the alcohol and the mark or even cocktail recipes EASY would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
The two main advise is vodka and rum. Your best bet would be to buy a neutral-flavored vodka (Skyy works very well, especially when you leave it in the freezer for a few hours), and work as an El Dorado surprisingly dark rum. If you only like white rum, Bacardi is still probably a good choice for the price. For the third bottle, I'd go for either gin or tequila, depending on your preferences (Hendrick Gin and Tequila Olmeca are impressive, but options are a bit more expensive). Just do not buy the cheapest you can find (the extra $ 2-3 for a better product, tongue and liver will thank you). Cheers!
