Does anyone else feel like Allison Krauss should be more popular?
I feel like bascially anything that hse does she is awarded up the ying ynage for her performances, which are usually duets or collaborations with non -country people with the exception of “Whiskey Lullaby” with Brad Paisley. I just dont seem to hear enough on the radio except for maybe “When you say nothing at all” I feel like she is ignored on mainstream country radio.l
I agree, I love her. Her style though is no longer very popular. Bluegrass kinda went out in the 70′s. That doesn’t mean you have to give up bluegrass! There are a ton of people out there that still perform real country (not that stupid love song soft rock crap). I would suggest Emmylou Harris. You hear her and you are hooked. The popularity is changing, not the music.
Your tastes are what make you an individual.
There are some other great folk singers like John Prine and Iris Dement who have rarely been recognized.
