I understand that whiskey is mostly distilled water and grains, apparently with a lot of calories. That gives the liver (Alcohol) and intestines (water) something to do, all right. But where are the calories? Are registered as "Sugar" in any way? What bodies need to get to work once whiskey crosses his path, I wonder?
Calories in whiskey in the molecules of ethanol, which is metabolized to acetaldehyde into acetyl-CoA and finally to carbon dioxide and water. Calories can whiskey calculated using the formula: oz test x = x 0.8 kcal. For example, a 5-ounce glass of whiskey from the 100 (which contains 50% ethanol) containing 0.8 x 100 x 5 = 400 calories.
