baking my Christmas cake for the first time?
I'm going to cook my Christmas cake for the first time in the weekend. I have a recipe that says to add brandy. I was wondering if you can replace the brandy whiskey. thanks for any help.
Yes, you can use the whiskey if desired, although traditional use brandy. When I used to make a Christmas cake, do not put the brandy in the mix. I left for a few days in a can and then pierced with a knitting needle and pour brandy into the holes. This makes the cake more moist.
