Jamaica Planters Punch '
1 part lemon juice
2 parts sugar
3 parts Jamaican rum
4 parts water and ice
A couplet for this recipe runs: "One of sour, two sweet, three of strong and four of the weaknesses, so it is easy to keep the proportions in mind. This is Planters' Punch as it is done in Kingston, Jamaica, British West Indies, where the rum is manufactured. To adjust Planters Punch a dash of bitters Peychaud be added. Mississippi Planter Punch
1 tablespoon sugar
