How Home Brew Beer Kits Can Make A Fresher Batch of Beer than Store Bought Beer

You’ve probably had a store bought beer and found that unless it is really cold and crisp, it just doesn’t quite quench the thirst enough. That’s because it probably wasn’t fresh. A fresh beer is a better beer and brewing home beer means you can have a fresh beer any time.

Home brewing kits can be purchased at almost any larger retailer. These kits typically come in five gallon drums and make the home brew an affordable and simple option for many that want to learn to make their own beer and make it fresh and better tasting.

Use basic brewing supplies such as the home brewing kits, bottle caps, a capping device, and glass beer bottles that you can recycle, and be sure the bottles you use are not the kind with the twist off caps. For home brewing you must use the bottles with the caps that are put on with a capping device and require a bottle opener to open them. These seal better keeping the air out, which is an important key to a fresher and better home brewed beer. Also, the bottles should be the brown or amber coloured bottles. These bottles will block the ultra-violet rays that can otherwise change the taste of your home brewed beer.

Depending where you live, growing your own hops may also be an option for you in order to use fresh ingredients for the making of your home brew. Hops can also be purchased at the stores where the home brewing kits are available, but it is one more ingredient that can make a fresher beer if home grown.

The batches of beer you make with a home brewing kit are not so large in quantity that they will age too long and grow stale. You get to enjoy fresh batches of beer any time you want and at a cost savings from the store bought beer.
