Is it time we decriminalize marijuana?
Being a former smoker and drinker, I seen the effects of both personally and quitting pot was simple without withdraws. Alcohol after 7 years of being on the wagon, I still find myself wanting to get a drink for old times or to relieve the urge.
I never heard of anyone dying of having physical or mental problems from pot. Alcohol, different story, there is not a day that goes by I can pick up the paper and seen where so and so was killed or wreaked by alcohol.
Why are we telling our children not to do drugs and at the same time they see us up close or on television drinking and smoking tobacco, two of our worst killers that is LEGAL? What type of drug was our government on when they made that that choice? It’s like they took a sling shot away from us and handed them a loaded gun when they made that law on prohibition.
Yes, it is. The prohibition of marijuana is a remnant of the KKK mentality left on our law books. After the prohibition of alcohol was overturned, the moral police needed something else to make them feel better. Blacks were the main users in the 1930′s and became an easy target.
