told me that the distillation process removes the gluten. mitch yes I am talking about really small amounts. a glass or 2 pm.

I have celiac disease (Gluten intolerance) and have looked into this in depth. The distillation process leaves gluten in the dough, which means you can drink distilled liquors. However, Some distilleries mix a small portion of the dough back in the distillation to add an extra layer of flavor. Jack Daniels (last visited the distillery) Puree mixture in the distillate. Jim Beam is not. Is not that swept through whiskey distilleries, but I've never had a problem after drinking whiskey (unless I drink a lot, which is a different issue). Indeed, high quality, dark rums are not colored with wheat, as some people say. They are made only from sugar cane. spiced rum, however, could have a gluten-containing ingredient mix
