How do you take your whiskey?
For the whiskey I mean any type (bourbon, whiskey etc) and also what you have with mixers and why. You could also say how old you are, I have 14 years. I have single malt whiskey and have ordered, I think that the addition of water or ice removes some flavor. And Queen Bee, why should I not be drinking at 14? Not every night binge drinking or drinking to get drunk, I respect the whiskey and drink it slowly.
Single Malt at 14? Your dad must have good taste. Purist to drink up (no ice, no mixer). Usually drink with ice, but never mix a single malt anything else would be a sacrilege considering how much they cost. Yes, ice takes away the taste, but especially in the beginning, which smooths out the taste. Then later, yes, the ice gets in the way and I usually use less ice as the party continues. Malt Whiskies are the best except Glennfidich and Tamoratin and other <$ 35, I do not care, except me yold Glenlivet 12 for 22 at Costco, what a deal. My fav for the price of $ 35 Glenmorangie 12 years old, but Handmade 16 men of Tain in Scotland, and tastes like a yold 16. Then $ 45 Lagavulin, 16 yold (known to lick the back of a fireplace). My fav> $ 45 is very soft discreetly Oban introductory ice like an orchid in the moonlight. After watching Saturday Night Fever, and being in my teens in the '70s, I went back to drink seven and seven as the film. Seagrams 7 and 7up: too sweet and cheap whiskey from a plastic bottle, but it reminds me of my youth and high school sweetheart.
