Pickwicks Pub is the local hotspot in Woodland Hills

Pickwicks opened its doors in 1974 and has been a milestone in San Fernando Valley ever since. The pub has changed hands several times, but now is back in the hands of the previous ownership that brought it to its peak. Due to a tragic fire in 2005, the pub unfourtunatley was burned to the ground and had to close its doors for the first time in 30 years. The owners of the land and previous owners took back pub decimated and brand began the long process of reconstruction. Craig Holman and Lizz, along with his sons, Robert, Kim and Chris, spent hours doing physical work necessary for a time that this landmark bar back to its former glory. Thanks to their efforts, the pub reopened its doors in March 2006 just in time for St. Patrick's Day and a big party opening. I am happy to say that the bar has been open for more than two years and continues to grow, attracting new customers of all ages with its wide range beer and alcohol, the traditional British food, and ever-changing spectacle.

Pickwicks has long been known for British food and my party will agree with most critics, who have one of the best fish and chip meals in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles. The establishment appears in the nightlife and Pub Bar in most of the sites or search engines, but should also be included in a restaurant because they have a full menu that leaves your mouth watering for more. They are traditional British grub such as Bangers and Mash, Scotch Pie and Chips, and of course the Beer Battered Fish and Chips. They also have a wide variety of sandwiches and salads, like grilled tuna salad there that customers say is better than most sushi restaurants. For my part, love the Indian curry, especially chicken tikka creamy. Curiously enough, you can also find traditional food in Hawaii in a few weekends, including items like Kalua Pork, Huli Huli chicken, and Ahi Poke. I was curious why a British pub would serve the papers and told me that the son had owners spent part of his military career serving in Hawaii and brought the recipes that villagers had taught him. Whatever the story, however, the food is amazing and makes you feel like you made a quick trip to the islands. Ive heard rumors that the son of Robert, will begin a Hawaiian luau type caterer soon, but that is another article.

In addition to fabulous food, the pub also has a great selection of beverages to choose from to quench your thirst after a hard day's work. They have 14 beers on tap and a full bar 8 different bottled beers. A couple of taps change regularly as do the bottles. They also have seasonal Samuel Adams on tap, and I can wait for the Winter Lager to exit. The service is impeccable and the staff is friendly and always willing to help you make a decision. Sometimes at night it becomes very busy and you may have to wait, but I promise I will get to you as quickly as possible. They also have great entertainment on multiple nights, including Wednesday night Trivia, Bob Cowsill on Friday, and a great man of 80 named Galo music on Saturdays. If you've never tried before trivia night, definitely recommend a visit. It tonnes of fun, and offer prizes for the winners. How can you beat that?

Pickwicks Pub has two happy hours which seems to make every customer happy. Also serve all their beer and beer in 20 oz pint glasses they actually get more for your money. Their happy hour is from Monday to Sunday from 11am to 7pm and also have an hour happy that night from Monday to Thursday from 10 pm-12 am and includes $ 1 off beer and liquor, and $ 5 snack baskets. The night happy hours is worthy of the visit as you can get a large basket of food and a 20 oz beer for as low as $ 9.
