Why is beer so expensive here in the U.S. black?
Unlike most people in the U.S., I like Guinness beer and as good as Murphy. However, I noticed the price of this beer is always much higher than their regular beer or a blonde. Is this due to the fact that Malta is less popular in the states or is it more complicated or time to brew? I'm sure the "imported" stout probably cost more because they are imported. In addition, any recommendation for delicious strong brand is appreciated.
In the U.S. malto are considered special beers for which people are willing to pay more, whether domestic or imported. All Stouts in America today are produced by micro-breweries and pubs.
