Plastic Beer Yard

If I cover my whole compost containers with black plastic, or just the top of the container?
I'm using an old plastic garbage to Like a container of compost pile. I drilled 24 holes on the side of bin. The container is on land in my garden that gets full sun. I've been using a garbage bag of black plastic to cover the top of the bin. But … compost pile does not seem to be very hot. It has nitrogen and carbon materials. I turn over the stack of almost every day. I've even added a little beer and urine. But there appears to be much heat in the stack. Would it help if I cover all the garbage can with black plastic bag? Would that help retain heat in the compost pile? Or simply if the top of the trash can be covered with plastic? I was thinking to cover the entire trash can with plastic during the day. And then, when the sun starts to drop, I can remove the plastic and place it right at the top of the cube trash. And then repeat the same process every day.
You are turning your compost too often. It takes time to accumulate heat. But in a container small, like yours, it will get very hot anyway. My compost bin is a two-bin system. Each bin measures 4'x5'x4. I can get 1000 # horse manure chips on one side of my box. Then again use the bin in my compost. Compost works by aerobic bacterial action. In a bucket of good operation, the compost can heat up to 150F +. Once the temperature begins to fall, the compost should be turned. This will be approximately every two weeks. Once the compound stop getting hot, it is finished. Do not urinate in the compost. Human excrement can transmit disease, like any carnivore droppings or omnivore.
