Plastic Beer Yard Glass

The basic equipment needed for home brewing
Well, you've decided (very wisely I might say) to brew your own beer. What basic equipment is needed? As in many processes of the computer may be varied and complicated indeed. But to begin with you do not really need much in the way equipment.
The first thing to acquire is a large container (mashing vessel). This can be as small as a large pot, or as big as you can handle. A large preserving pan or stew is good. Try a caterer second hand, you get a good deal. At the same time, though by no means essential at this stage, see if they have a foot ring of free gas can be used with bottled gas. This means you can brew on the patio or garage.
Trust me, your partner will be much more if not forgiving underfoot in the kitchen, and the smell (although I love) can be a bit of an acquired taste. The other advantage of using gas is the instant controllability temperature. Electricity can be a bit hit and miss as it is not instantaneous. Unless of course you have a ceramic hob. But I really do not want to be in the kitchen unless you have no choice.
You will also need a thermometer, the temperature is fairly critical in the process of developing the beer. Again, go to a store of supplies and brewing is to find a good variation, but I would go for at least 12 inches long, or even higher if possible. Especially if you have purchased a boat large maceration. They are easier to read anyway. By the way, a thermometer replacement is always helpful. They can be dropped and broken!
You will need a glass of the beverage after fermentation of yeast was added. Must have a decent cover, adequate and lifting handles. When I used a plastic dustbin (trash) from my local hardware store. It was yellow brilliant and I thought it was cool. Only later I discovered that the yellow color is due to the use of heavy metals cadmium, very toxic to humans. This leak cadmium in beer due to the effect of the process. Well I got away with that (I think). But the lesson here is to use only containers ensures the development beer environment. I would favor a five-gallon plastic sold by a supply store brewing a good reputation.
A length of plastic tubing about quarter inch diameter and about a yard longer or shorter, he wanted to divert the drink when you are ready as yopu have decided to use containers. Probably a plastic barrel or bottles. Ideally the tube should have a glass tube fitted with siphon (with a trap like a sink u-bend) in order not to produce sediment when siphoning. These are very cheap supplies from brewing place.
All bottles used must be in good condition and free from any defects. If you can get screw-capped bottles better. It goes without saying that should be scrupulously clean.
OK that's it. That's really all the basic equipment you need. Of course there are other elements that I would call option, which can make the job a little easier, and I'll cover those in another article. But if you're working on a budget you can start with these articles. Just go for it, and good luck.
