Online Bartending Courses
Does it matter where certification to serve drinks?
I just moved to GA – Backwoods all here, but I will be moving other time soon, and I would like bartending for more cash when I can move. I know it's better to be certified, but no schools of instruction in the area – When I called a popular bar in the city contract that gave me the name of a credible bartending school offers a course online. There is a certification state bar that is completely valid, but really think a CERT online. worth having? Not sure … ?
I have more bartender 12 years in Virginia, Florida and North Carolina. I have not received any formal (barman) training school. I've never had a point of view of employer ask about it either. Maybe Georgia is different, but I do not think you need to be "certified" for use, especially if you have experience. I have had several friends go to bartending school, and does not make it easier to get a bartender job. Most resturaunts hire and promote from within and not hiring waiters. Most have to start as servers and then move into bartending. And bartender is experienced by 30% and 70% of personality. So, when you come to talk with employers perspective, show your personality. Make sure your resume is complete and have references bar. online certification is really more about learning than they are in drinks liquor. If you've never bartender before this can be a good thing. Hope this helps.
