What brand of beer he drank in his youth?
as 19-22 years of age when money was tight? I was in that age group in years 80 and I had no job because the economy was bad and no one drank hiring.I Shafer that I could get a $ 1.99 for a pack of 6 and $ 3.99 for a package of 12. Do you? Goebel also drank, Buckhorn, Milwaukee's Best, Schlitz all cheap. Could not afford to Budweiser then.
I turned 21 in late 60's, of course had a lot of illegal Drinking before that. Like many others I had to settle for stuff too cheap. Not I can call my favorites, but my people were the majority; Schafer, Piels, Ballantine and Schlitz. There were also two local beers that I was forced at times to drink Kaiers and Bavaria. Bavaria was not at all like the Busch Bavarian and was bought by susequently Yuenglings, that made the area a favor and took Bavarian off the market.
