2 pounds of meat, soup bone.
2 carrots.
1 medium head of cabbage.
2 medium onions.
6 medium size potatoes.
2 cups canned tomatoes.
6 whole peppercorns.
1 bay leaf.
A few sprigs of dill.
½ cup beets.
Cover with cold water and bring to a boil.
Let simmer until almost tender. Add water if necessary
to keep meat covered. A hour before serving, add chopped
vegetables and seasonings. Potatoes can be cooked separately
before serving. When ready to serve, remove from heat and
add sour cream.

1 ham hock.

Salt and pepper.
Cook ham bone and beans along slowly for 3 hours. Dice the onion and carrots and add 30 minutes before serving. Season.

1 clove garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1 medium onion, chopped
3 carrots
1 turnip, diced
1 sheet laurel
Cut meat into cubes. Roll in flour and brown in hot oil.
Add the onion and garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Stir until onion is golden brown. Add enough water to cover meat. Bring to a boil. Simmer gently for 1 ½ -2 hours.
Add remaining vegetables ½ hour before the stew is served.

Sift flour. Add baking powder and salt and sift again.

1 oz tequila ½.
Shake with ice cubes ice.

Light rum drink
2 oz light rum ½ Puerto Rico.
1 oz lemon juice.
Grenadine 1 oz.
Club Soda.
Add the rum, lemon juice and grenadine with ice cubes. Strain into 10-ounce glass with crushed ice. Fill glass with soda. Serve with straws.

Non-alcoholic
Bing Cherry
1 pint of cherry juice
4 oz orange juice
Dilute the cherry juice and orange juice
10 ounces of water, stir to mix. Add the chunks of ice before of
serving.

Fresh Fruit Punch
8 oz each of orange juice, pineapple juice and grapefruit juice.
1 bottle of ginger ale. Sugar to taste.
Combine juice with sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved and refrigerate. Add the ginger ale over ice cubes before serving.
