National Bartending School
Anyone who attended National Bartenders Bartending School?
I've heard a lot of schools are a scam bartender, but I was thinking take courses in one to get some experience. I'm planning to study some books and practice at home with a bar file. I was considering this school because I really do not know anyone in the F & B industry that could help with a shoe-in, so I thought this might be useful. (I would not put it in my curriculum vitae, however, or tell prospective employers that I took the course). Thanks!
It is not a scam, but is charging money to teach you something you can learn for free. There are plenty of books on cocktails which you can get free at the library or www.ABEBOOKS.com cheap (not my website). In a few days be ready to work. It's fun to learn to spin glasses and pour the liqueur 2 meters above the glass. You can learn that later at home. Skip the barman school ..
