I have a problem after over-drinking alcohol?
am 16 and have been drinking very small amount since i was 14. About six months ago i went crazy and had i LOT (15 mixed shots of various spirits and 4 cans of beer) and was very very sick. I kept losing consciousness and my friends almost called an ambulance. I’ll never drink that much again but now when i drink any amount, even a sip, i immediately feel like i want to throw up and my mouth produces a lot of saliva. What is happening and is it possible to build an intolerance to alcohol?
P.S. Don’t just tell me how bad underage drinking is please as i know its very unhealthy, but i don’t do it much and i drink responsibly most of the time. I am genuinely worried about my health and i would like some productive advice please.
Lol i passed out on the grass too and two of my mates were throwing ice at me to wake me up. I started to rip the grass up and they made me bet them £10 that i wouldn’t die to try and get my mind working. I’ve never been so glad to win a bet.
Sigh. I can only tell you what happened to me the night I was at a friends birthday party and I drank shot after shot of Jack Daniels, straight, with no chasers. I passed outside on the grass for a couple hours, got hypothermia, and had vomited all over myself. Definitely a low point. After that I literally could not even smell JD without getting sick…I can drink it now because YES I have built up a tolerance, but it took me the better part of a year before I could drink it again. Remember this rule (seriously):
Beer before liquor, Never been sicker
Liquor before beer, You’re in the clear
Basically when you drink you have to go from a high concentration of alcohol (spirits) to a low concentration (beer, wine coolers) to keep from getting sick. But the best advice by far is to not mix drinks in the course of the evening…as in don’t drink tequila, and then some beer, and then vodka…stick with one spirit or one drink for the entirety and you won’t get sick (y’know unless you drink till you pass out again). Be safe. Do NOT drink and drive. Sorry, had to mention that. xo
