Do you know where to drink and hang out in style with a visit to Barcelona? Read on for guidance Ultmate to the best bars in Barcelona.
There are so many bars in Barcelona I could write a book in them big enough. Some are very local – some full of tourists – Some are for students – and others dressed middle class. There really is something for everyone at Barcelona.
Most bars are livelier In this neighborhood about 11 pm and 2 a.m.-3 a.m.. If you're one of the gang that like to party until the wee hours in advance, then you will find that a handful of places keep their doors open until 5 am. There would be more so, but that neighborhood associations and residents furious that an application of increasingly stringent regulations noise.
So, baby. This guide will give some of the best bars in Barcelona. Hit them soon for a great time and have a drink.
Marseilles Bar is a popular bar in Barcelona. Ernest Hemingway slump over an absinthe or two (or ten) in this bar, which has been in business since 1820. Still specializes in Absinthe …. for those of you who do not know that it is a beverage that should be consumed with great care and with great respect.
His glass of absinthe comes with a lump of sugar, a fork and a small bottle of mineral water. Keep the sugar in the holder over your cup and the drip of water on sugar so it dissolves into the absinthe, it becomes yellow. The result should give you a very warm glow, and perhaps a glimpse of the famous absinthe "green fairy." Barra de Marseille is a very unique bar years of history and tradition. It is a must visit if you're in town.
Barcelona Pipa Club is another popular bar. This club is like a pipe-smoking apartment with all sorts of things, and trinkets rooms, especially the tubes after which the place is named. You buzz in the door and head up two floors. The place has a good atmosphere and is certainly very different from the bar every day.
Mirablau a cocktail bar located on the hill of Tibidabo, Mirablau offers views Barcelona's most beautiful. You can clearly see the Sagrada Familia, the sea, Montjuc and more, but … in a recent visit at least … service and cocktails were a little disappointed.
If views of the city is your thing then give a thought to the Dry Martini – an emerging elegant cocktail bar with an upper crust feel to it. Bartenders white jackets will attend to the needs of its signature cocktail and drink taken at Casa Martini lined wood bar or in one of the rooms of plush green leather, is a gamble safe. Beware of the gin and tonic – it is simply enormous. It comes in a huge glass cup size – a couple of these and its well on its way.
Finally, a small lovely place called the London Bar is the best option if you want a drink after 3am. Open since 1909, the bar began as a place where circuses and van hands later it was frequented by the likes of Picasso, Miro and Hemingway.
These few bars are just a small selection of what is on offer.
Come to Barcelona and explore the scene at night – you'll love.
