Do you think Scottish malt can cure almost anything?
My older brother has this thing he calls "the whiskey priest." I tried it once when I was a cold and it seemed to work! I think it could be anything. Is well documented that the mob has strong anti-microbial activity and acts as a preservative. This in combination with alcohol, may account for their almost magical healing properties. A mob as Laphroaig or Lagavulin Scotch seems to work better.
My father used to mix a blend of brandy, when I was sick, she swore by the medicinal powers. I'm not sure what was in it, but always Fuzzys gave me the warm and sent me to dreamland. Research has shown that Scotch can boost blood levels of antioxidants than red wine more. However, taking more than one shot a week can lower the levels of antioxidants.
