Ice Box Cakes

Tips for long distance transport of wedding cake?
we are becoming married in TN, but I live in Chicago … Our wedding cake designer said we should find a good sized styrofoam cooler and they would provide the bags of ice. was thinking maybe dry ice? take the cake in the box … dry ice around and around in a cooler. any ideas? " (The cake is covered with rolled fondant, so be nice and sealed ….)
Another thing you can do is buy some carpet padding and put him in the back of car. When place the container in the upper will help stabilize it during a car trip.Try to cover the bowl with a towel or blanket out-keepit of sunlight if possible. Keep the car not to get cool.Try the wet cake if you use ice packs. With the idea of ice, you can do that, but I would suggest to first place the cake in a bowl and then place in a bowl larger container holding off the ice packs. If are getting married the day after his arrival, it is not necessary to refrigerate the cake, just keep it in a cool if possible. The fondant kept nice and sealed, you right. The fresh flavor cake because fondant is kept closed. If absolutely necessary, cake can be moisture droplets it.Don worry, it only fondant. You moisture can absorb, with the tip of a paper towel, or just let it not dry.But cooling necessary for Overnite. Anyway, congratulations Good Luck.and the bride and groom! Best wishes!
