The Psychology of Golf New Year's Resolutions
Have you made your New Year's resolutions for golf improvement – using psychology golf, perhaps? Well, even if you have not, I'm sure many of you are excited to start again, back to your life and in some cases, do something about how to play better golf. That's fantastic! I know that 2010 will be an exciting year. I am very happy after finishing my new book, The Secrets of Hypnotic Golf during the holiday period. I've been talking about it for quite some time and now its written format and the editor, ready for launch in late January or early February – Woo-hoo!
Returning to New Year's resolutions, have you done to your loved yet? No, do not tell me what they are, which is supposed to be bad luck. Just you are clear about what you would like to change in his life and golf in 2010? Do you know what you would like to perform and where you want your life goes. That's enough, right?
Well, I have some bad news and good news for you. What would you like first? Okay, let start with the bad news. The bad news is that New Year's resolutions usually do not work. Recent articles suggest that over 80% of orders that do fall by the wayside in a few weeks or months? That is not good news, right?
New Year's resolutions that traditionally do not work because they are based mainly on the strength of will and that is a function of our conscious mind. If willpower has worked 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, then all would be the way we want and we want to be fit, rich and happy. We'd all great golfers as well. How many times have you gone to play golf decided to concentrate hard on every shot, only to suddenly experience a lack of concentration and disaster to strike? I know I have. How many times dieters among you recalled a diet, but not until after eating something fattening?
The problem is that your conscious mind can only focus on a few things at once and these are what we are thinking right now. Research tells us that usually a conscious human being can have between five and nine bits information – often referred to as seven plus or minus two – in our opinion at any time. That's why long phone number may be hard to remember, even for a short time to look at them on the agenda to score. So it is likely that its resolutions have dropped out of your seven plus or minus two more the time.
The good news is that your unconscious mind is connected to everything you know all the time. You do not have to remember to breathe, to regulate their heart rate, flash if there is anything that flies you to drive a car or bicycling. That's assuming you have already learned to drive a car or riding a bike! And mentally there is no limit to how things you can do unconsciously, at the same time. It is not recommended, but people can drive a car, hold a conversation, smoking a cigarette and reflect on their place in the universe all at once and if a car pulls up from a secondary road that still have to avoid and, probably, check the mirror mirror as they do.
So how my hand New Year's resolutions to your unconscious mind? Well that's easy. Use hypnosis programs, the self-hypnosis and NLP to be installed on your unconscious mind. That's exactly what happens with hypnosis programs like yours Golf Virtual Caddy.
