Home Beer Tap

Is it safe to use a brass faucet in contact with the beer (ie, into a cauldron of homebrew 5gal or danger for the bronze?
I'm thinking changing the tap on my 5-gallon plastic tank by a brass tap. I use for home brewing and my concern is that the brass can react with beer during the boil.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Copper vessels have long been used by brewers national and water pipes is copper. Spil are made of brass and have been for many years. I used brass faucets and accessories, both beer and wine and the only result that still drunk.
