Home Bar Kitchen

bars are outdated kitchen?
just bought a house and the kitchen has a bar out of the wall and sits in the middle of the kitchen and dining room. I like as it provides extra cabinet space, and would be a good place to put some bar stools. A friend of mine said bars and have become obsolete and must be started and replaced by an island. I like the same bar, but my question to everyone, are they really so popular?
If you like, keep it. The only difference between and an island bar is whether it is connected to the wall. From what I can tell, the kitchen fashion designs have more to do with the materials (tile, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, etc..) But for me, the island off the bar has less to do with trends and more to do with the design of your home. I think that the islands are well adapted to very large kitchens, but in smaller kitchens bar makes more sense. Anyway, along with their personal preferences, you have to consider the cost Demolition of the bar and the addition of an island, I'm sure it's quite expensive, and can not add much value to your home.
