I liek both!
whats the difference between whiskey labeled ‘rye whiskey’ and whiskey labeled ‘whiskey’

Rye is a grain that can be distilled to make whiskey (rye whiskey).

Whiskey can also be made using corn or malted barley.

In the United States, “rye whiskey” is, by law, made from a mash of at least 51 percent rye.

The UK produces “Scotch Whisky” and there are regulations defining it. Made using mainly barley, it has to be ‘matured’ in an excise warehouse in Scotland in oak casks for at least 3 years before bottling. There are other criteria too.
