Anyone notice this about the new R&B song “Be On You”?
I believe it’s sung by Ne-Yo and some other new rapper……anyways, the chorus goes:
“And if you dont like that, then send it right back—but I just gotta say I WANNA BE ON YOU”
I was listening to those lyrics and all of a sudden it hit me! They stole that quote DIRECTLY from the movie ‘Anchorman’ with Will Ferrell! It’s the part where Will (Ron Burgundy) first meets Christina Applegate at that cocktail party outside and he approaches her saying “Im gonna throw something your way….if you dont like it, send it right back—–I WANNA BE ON YOU” Am I the only person on the planet that figured this out or not? I can guarantee that the writers to this song had been watching Anchorman prior to creating the lyrics. Does anyone know the movie part Im talking about and its relation to this new Ne-Yo song?
