I am not a "kick a can – of-peanuts-in-the-table kind of girl! When I am planning a party, it is important for me to choose thoughtful recipes that meet the following:

They are simple to make
It has few ingredients
Lift and over time
If it is pleasing to the eye and, of course,
Nice!

Over the years, I've tried a lot of recipes on my family and friends and certainly the most "asked Hot Appetizers, desserts and delicious summer drinks" are listed below (in no particular order).

Top 2 Hot snacks

Number One most requested hot Appetizer – Cheddar Chipotle Hot Dip

2 cups Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese
1 / 2 cup mayonnaise
1.8 oz can kernel corn, drained (3 / 4 cup)
4.1 oz can green peppers chopped chiles, drained
2 teaspoons minced canned chipotle chile in adobo (or to taste)
1 / 4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped (3 / 4 cup)
1 / 4 cup sliced green onions
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
Vegetables, crackers or chips

I found this fall when I was in a diet low in carbohydrates and looking for a party appetizer that works well with vegetables. Something with a robust flavor to liven up vegetables. Well this definitely with the requirements.

This appetizer has become a favorite among my friends. Served on numerous occasions during the year in different parts that I too organize or attend.

It may be the smoked and spicy as you want by adjusting the amount of chipotle peppers (smoked jalapeno), but be careful. You can easily go from mildly spicy to blow-your-face-off hot by adding too much!

Steps to chipotle cheddar dip

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix cheese, mayonnaise, corn, green chilies, chipotle chili and garlic powder in large mixing bowl. Spread mixture in a capsule quarter with a lid. Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly.

Top with tomato, green onion and cilantro. I like to make a pattern of ingredients so I put all tomatoes in the middle, make a ring around them with green onions and sprinkle the cilantro over everything.

Serve with vegetables, like red, green and yellow pepper. Toasting and Frito Scoops work well too.

Max asked two Hot Appetizer – Warm Green Chili Dip

8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
8 oz mild cheddar cheese
2 cups mayonnaise
1 small sweet onion, chopped
1 can (4 oz.) Chopped green chiles, drained
1-1/2 oz pepperoni chopped
1 / 2 cup sliced ripe olives
Fried or roasted Palettes

In a shallow baking dish, combine first five ingredients. Cover with chorizo mixture and olives. Bake at 325 degrees about 25 minutes or until bubbly.

Serve with Pallas, cookies or a variety of fresh vegetables.

Note: Not recommended the use of reduced-fat mayonnaise.

Speaking from personal experience, both of these hot appetizers are guaranteed to be a success in any meeting.

Top 2 Delicious Desserts

Number One Most Requested Delicious Dessert – White Chocolate Raspberry Dream Bars

1 box white cake mix
1 / 3 cup evaporated milk
1-1/2 sticks melted butter
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 / 2 cup seedless raspberry jam
12 ounce white chocolate chips

Combine cake mix, milk, butter and nuts. It makes a very sticky dough. Spray a 9 x 13 pan and spread half the dough in the bottom of the pot. Cook for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Melt jam in the microwave (a minute) and is placed over hot crust. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over jam. Crumble remaining dough on top and bake another 20-25 minutes.

Cool completely before cutting. For most parties, this recipe doubles easily and can be made in a pan of 15 x 10.

Once you get the fall of this technique, you can think of all kinds of combinations. How about using chocolate cake with mint chips? Or lemon cake with white chocolate?

Number Two Most Requested Delicious Dessert – Chocolate Amaretto Bundt Cake

1 pkg. chocolate devil's food cake mix
1 package small. instant chocolate pudding
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1-1/2 oz Amaretto
1 / 2 cup vegetable or canola oil
1 cup chips semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup raspberries (optional)
1 / 2 cup seedless raspberry jam (optional)
Whipped cream (optional)

Glaze

1 stick butter
3 / 4 cup sugar
1 / 2 cup amaretto

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Combine first 6 ingredients and mix well. Stir in chips. Grease and flour a Bundt pan. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Melt glaze ingredients in a saucepan or microwave. Pour 2 / 3 of glaze over top of cake while cake is hot from the oven and still in pan. Let remaining cake in pan for 25 minutes. Remove cake from pan and sprinkle with remaining glaze.

When I make this dessert cake, I fill the center with raspberries Fresh and present in the crystal cake stand pedestal of my grandmother who is very dramatic.

Just before serving, I make a raspberry sauce by melting the jam in the microwave. Each guest receives a kind of dish with a little salsa, a slice of cake, some fruit and some whipped cream. Yum!

Top Drinks Summer 2

When most people host parties, which are often based beverages such as beer and wine, but very few Sometimes you see a host offer a selection of very special summer drinks. I have perfected my list of deals in recent years and now I can share with you my Top 2.

Number One Most Requested Summer Cocktail – Limoncello Lemonade Mint

1 / 2 cup lemonade concentrate
1 / 4 cup mint leaves fresh
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Ice cubes
1 / 4 cup Limoncello (lemon liqueur)
1 / 2 cup club soda
Lemon and Mint for garnish

In a small pitcher, "muddle" mint leaves with the lemonade concentrate and lemon juice. Muddle means to bruise the leaves so they release their flavor. I use the end of a wooden spoon.

Add ice cubes, Limoncello and club soda and pour into 4 glasses. Up to retire a slice of lemon, a sprig of fresh mint and an umbrella.

Max asked two summer cocktail – Brandy Punch with fruit

This has become a favorite in my house and many parties to attend, the more likely that everyone loves and you can make a huge quantity and serve in a punch bowl.

1 / 2 part brandy (I use Christian Brothers brand)
1 part lemon-lime soda
2 pieces of fruit juice (cranberry and Peach blend is my favorite)
1 / 2 bag frozen fruit (blueberries and strawberries look great)
An ice rink with fruit (see recipe below)
Slices of lemons, limes and oranges, if desired

Mix fruit juice and frozen fruit in a bowl or container big hit. Pour in the lemon-lime soda, Gently stir and then float an ice ring on top (see recipe below).

Rather than rush to the punch, I serve the brandy on the side for my guests who prefer non-alcoholic punch can drink it too.

To make ice

Pour 1-2 cups of the juice mixture from above into a saucepan Bundt pan or other. Add some fruit and / or fresh citrus slices. Freeze overnight.

Just before serving, place the bread in a little hot water to loosen the ice ring and then turn it into the bowl. It makes a beautiful presentation, cools the punch and since it is made with juice, not the water per stroke. Perfect!

This recipe can easily be altered so it can serve a drink that is really gaining popularity lately. Only leave out the fruit and the ice ring.
