Is it possible to create your own cocktail recipe?

I see people looking for recipes and searching madly for the ingredients, but what if I have my own liquor and fruit juice or how long the ingredients around the house ,…. I can only make my own? I'm new at this cocktail so I have no idea if the experts and follow the recipe or is it actually made their own. Thank you.

Yes, you can certainly come to their own recipes. One of the funniest things was when I was a bartender to try to create new drinks. Sometimes waiters get together and discuss coming up with new drinks for the house specialties. Other times it comes to creating new ones to send to the magazine Bartender to see if they would publish them. Knowing all the different liquors and liqueurs and mixers help much as you know what they taste like and what would be a good combination or mixture of flavors. Then there's the fun of naming your brew. You can come with a strange name, Funky Monkey, Windsail, Texas Hold Em ', Barfly, you can imagine. There are lots of standardized recipes for drinks, many have been around for years and years. As a Singapore Sling is pretty standard, but a Zombie, a hurricane or a Blue Hawaiian is mainly rum and fruit juices and know what color to do so. Sometimes the difference is simply floating some 151 rum on top. Take a Long Island Iced Tea. Generally is three white spirits (vodka, gin and rum), triple sec, sweet and sour juice and a splash of coke for color. Add tequilla and has a Texas tea. Use 7-up instead of coke and has an electric lemonade. Take a White Russian and splashing water with coke and has a Colorado Bulldog. Most of the drink recipes are loose and very varied. I know there are many books and websites out there that profess to give you the actual recipes. Most were written either by the waiters or investigated by the authors who asked waiters. Depending on where the bartender worked, you may have conflicting prescriptions. A good barman trying to memorize as many recipes as he / she can. Good also maintain a small card file for beverages are not asked often and add to it whenever they learn of a new prescription. Many times the recipe is something they already know with a slight variation. To sum up, yes, create their own recipes and experiment with them. If you like the way you know, you have a good recipe. Be sure to give a name. Have fun, be safe!
