I'm thinking about getting into brewing?

Like yeast, sugar, flavoring (what type, etc), spices .. and what are some good recipes? I've heard you can buy packaged as sugars, spices, yeast, etc, in measured quantities according to pre gallons of water. Also, if you have any information on how to make mead, please inform me that is, the procedure (, equipment, ingredients, recipes, etc.) Thanks!
