Facing the Facts of Vaginal Yeast Infection
Under a variety of conditions, a change in the environment they live in causes to increase in number unusual, causing infection. Signs and symptoms of vaginal infection include: itching, burning sensation and pain in the vaginal area, redness and pain in the affected region, a noticeable discharge. The encounter with these can help to correctly identify the signs and symptoms of vaginal infection by fungi.
Itching, burning and pain
For some women, the easiest way to identify whether she is suffering from vaginal yeast infection is severe itching in and around the vaginal area. The itching may not be present at all times. But when it does, it itches so much ill find it difficult to carry out normal daily activities such as walking.
Urination can also be coupled with a burning sensation, or general painful for her to do so. But this bothersome urination may also be present in other forms of infection such as urinary tract infection (UTI). The urine is acidic in nature. So if the burning sensation you feel when you get urine out, then it is most likely caused by a yeast infection. Urinary tract infection, however, causes a burning sensation when passing urine through the urinary output.
The redness and pain in the affected region
A slight localized severe redness in the vaginal and vulvar area is another sign yeast infection. Pain and irritation of the areas mentioned can also have symptoms that make intercourse very painful experience for women.
Rare leaks down there
Most women associate a thick discharge that is rather like cottage cheese vaginal yeast infection. The consistency can vary in thickness and usually grouped around, faint yellow to white, fine and clear. The discharge may or may not have the smell of starch, which resembles the smell of bread or beer. Yeast, of course, is used to make bread and yeast, and fermentation of beer.
Since not everyone who has vaginal yeast infection gets a discharge, still the best and easiest way to tell a woman whether or not they are experiencing symptoms yeast infection is itching in and around the vaginal area.
Yeast infection in other body parts
As mentioned earlier, Candida is normally present on skin and in most areas of the body that are warm and humid. This means that signs and symptoms of candidiasis may also appear in different areas of the body in many different ways.
Yeast infection can occur in mouth, in diaper areas and skin folds. And in people with weakened immune systems, such as those with AIDS, yeast infection can also affect gastrointestinal tract, such as the esophagus and stomach.
