How to calculate how many glasses have a function
It's easy to over or under supply glasses for your event or function. Often is difficult to be sure of the numbers attending and you may be tempted to cut a middle number of the vessels.
Or maybe you'll say – 100 people, 100 Eyewear – easy! The problem is that people drink the change, going from red to white wine, soda water prefer the night comes to an end – especially if driving. How many staff sometimes had to pick up function vessels and accelerate one of the team to the kitchen to wash and dry quickly the benefits before they run out at the bar?
How many cups in case the order? about two times more than their guests – but that depends on what you are going to drink – in the next section we look at what might be and how to select the quantities of glasses based on types of beverages can be consumed, the style and type of event that you expect to be present at your event.
Some influences on the requirements for glass ware?
Expand a little on the subject to have sufficient vessels and types of lenses in function! There are a couple of the major influences in any function or event that usually gives you the advantage on how many and what types of glasses you need to deliver. The two main influences are; is champagne is served (and it is French)? and the beer was bottled?
Let's start with the question of beer. If you're serving beer then you are more than likely that he expected a contingent of good guys on your guest list. Not that women do not drink beer – they drink less frequently but and in smaller numbers than the guys. Likewise, the beer drinkers in Australia (men and women) drink more than likely out of the bottle – even in glitzy events – for their need for whiskey glasses just diminished considerably.
IMPORTANT: If you are not in Australia then apply consumer habits in your country for these calculations. For countries where beer is usually drunk a glass will have to double highball calculations below.
Champagne. Flip the coin over here, your champagne drinkers will be predominantly but not exclusively, women. Now for what the "French" Champagne is? Well, of course, any man or woman will tell you that France can only be champagne champagne if it comes from the region called Champagne in France – Very true! – But regardless if the quality is generally appreciated perceptible or not – if French Champagne – the champagne drinkers for the night in this drink will stay longer, before moving to another drink – for example, wine (white wine very often) – and of course this means you need more champagne glasses (flutes). Just an additional note – if the quality of the champagne is good, then more of the gentlemen I drink too much – of new, more champagne!
So where does that leave us in terms of real numbers? Good for an event of 100 people serving champagne went 30-40 highballs (mineral water, soft drinks, etc), 1950-1960 champagne flutes (but 70 where the quality is very good) and 50 glasses of wine that will address the men who prefer wine or move to wine (red wine often) after beer and women who move to white wine after champagne.
No champagne? Then 30-40 highballs as before and 70 glasses of wine. Do not forget some water jugs (2-4) and plenty of ice. It is good to have slices lemon by hand to sparkling mineral water as well. Guests are particularly grateful for these towards the end of the night.
