A little history on alcohol

A little history on alcohol

Ever wondered what the term honeymoon meant? Worldwide, there is much evidence that alcohol history goes as far as 10,000 years ago! In fact, in some ancient cultures, communities discovered how to make beer before even learning to make bread! Wine worship the feudal order of arguments, alcohol has come to the rescue of many civilizations and many more to come.
Cultures like the Romans, all the Greeks and Egyptians had based many rituals and meetings regarding consumption of alcohol. The ancient Egyptians even buried people with a little alcohol to take with them in the afterlife. In ancient times Babylon, there are over 20 different styles of beer before the year 800 BC C., when China and India began producing their own forms of alcohol, as the world famous yes dear, cognac and brandy by the distillation of barley and rice.
As time moved forward during the Roman civil war, Caesar and his troops entered the beer to Northern Europe, creating a total processing flow the beer business. Many of the monasteries in Europe began producing beer since it was a nutritious drink that could be consumed in the monastery, while also the sale of some on the side, which would help benefit the monastery. Now we do not all appreciate the efforts that went into beers such as Chimay wonder, still makes the monks?
Many years later came the Renaissance, which means more beer? In fact, this had an impact on alcohol and beer, as he was known, but this time put science into the equation when making up different forms of alcoholic beverages. It was at that time that the boom in all different forms of alcohol was in many countries around the world. With these booms big break came all sorts of new types of alcohol, such as Russian Vodka, Tequila Mexican, German, Belgian, and other English types of drinks for everyone to enjoy!
Soon after came the boom of the newly discovered colonies in America, who made a trade alcohol in the United States now. In later years, the alcohol sold and distributed throughout the U.S. is served in establishments such as local halls completed their income with a little gambling and prostitution on the side of their customers. However, many groups of people who were upset with this kind of lifestyle and began to fight against the consumption of alcohol altogether. These fighters abstinence worked and worked tooth and nail to get laws passed in order to place the ban on alcohol in the United States to create an ideal "sober" nation and to rid the nation of the evils "of alcohol. Well, finally succeeded in 1920 and alcohol was banned. This was known as prohibition. It was during these times, most powerful gangs, smugglers, swindlers, traffickers, and got his first employment and caused an increase in criminal activity and the famous "black market" of alcohol, he had made many people sick and wrong through contaminated beverages.
By 1932, the government realized that something went terribly wrong as John D. Rockefeller, known industrialist said: "When the ban was introduced, I hoped that would be widely supported by public opinion and the day soon come when the bad effects of alcohol would be recognized. I slowly and reluctantly come to believe that this has not been the result. Instead, drinking has generally increased, the Speakeasy has replaced the saloon, a vast army of lawbreakers has appeared; many of our best citizens have openly ignored Prohibition, law enforcement has been greatly diminished, and crime has increased to a level never seen before. "
The ban on alcohol ban and, in general, arose in 1933. Many of the largest brewers in the world exist today as the reopening Budweiser for business and not only lifted many spirits, but also brewing began the world-famous style also known as the American beer.
So what do you think? Was the ban on the answer to the problems of the time or caused more trouble than it was worthwhile? Of course we do not have too much detailed evidence as to what problems have arisen in ancient times of the trade in alcohol, but it seems that the evidence is that people have always been much more content with the freedom to consume alcohol compared with the ban. When alcohol consumption, however, remember that the health benefits of alcohol come when consumed in moderation compared to over do it. Enjoy!
