"I can use a 5-liter keg of Heineken to dispense homebrew?
My girlfriend and I are home brewers, and we own a barrel of Corney. We have the rest of the teams at this point to use. I wondered, as so I can use an empty 5-liter barrel (Heineken, etc) to exempt home brew? Or even need to buy one, because the beverage supply store empty me, even the bottles grolch! Thanks bob beer belly. Friends that we enjoy our beer asked to bring it to the parties, because we have much experience in the hobby. This will be very convienent, even after puchase other equipment for the system of Corney barrel as portability.
There are 5 liters barrel systems available in your local homebrew shop. They have replaced plugs and injectors available CO2 so although technically you can reuse is really a PITA when you take into account the ease with which they are damaged, hard to clean, and what a low value for money they are. It is much more profitable, fun and free of pain to use only its corny. If you are concerned about portability, there are also Cornies 3 gallons and there are small CO2 cylinders distribution systems. Sometimes I make my homebrew in two bottles of soda L. You can take the lid of a 2L bottle, drill a hole in it, and add a air valve. With a circulation of air in a line to your CO2 tank carbonate can even right on the bottle.
