How to turn a beer drinker in a Wine Enthusiast

If you're one of those people who happen to be matched with someone whose beverage tastes do not match yours, I can sympathize. I have been happily married to a beer drinker for almost 10 years. I long to see couples in restaurants share a bottle of wine at dinner or discussion of the virtues of wine or another. Nothing seems so romantic to me as a shared love of wine. Therefore I have taken on the enormous task of trying to convert a drinker beer in a wine enthusiast.

Step 1: Add variety to your drinks

If the only beer drinker drinks beer and the occasional cocktail, can not expect him to turn to night wine. It is a gradual process with the first step to add some variety to what you drink. At present there are fruit-infused beers on the market. They are the perfect beverage to offer beer lovers. Incorporates love the beer-drinking beer with a little something different. You can also want you to offer some malt beverages that are a little sweeter or less than a beer.

Step 2: Start introducing Fruity Sweet Wines

Once the beer drinker has developed a taste for fruit-flavored drinks out there, it's time to add in the wine. Start with something light and fruity like a Riesling with a touch of apricot, peach and pineapple. This is probably the nicest guy of wine for him. Discuss the flavors in the wine and ask if you can apart. White Zinfandel wine is also another beginner grandmother.

Step 3: Add in other wines and Experimental

Once having its beer drinker open to the idea that wine is not all bad, it's time to try a greater variety of wines. You can gently introduce one at a time, are advised food for sale which can be combined with the wines. You can offer a robust red with a good steak or a pleasant and intense Chardonnay with poultry or cheese.

Other the suggestion is to try several different types of wine, visiting a wine bar or attend a wine tasting. These are two great ways to try without committing to a bottle and often be led by someone with a decent amount of wine knowledge, you should be able to inform you about the wines tasting. He or she must also be able to make suggestions things to your beer, now reformed drinker to try.

Do not Give Up

This is not a process that takes overnight. Can take months or even years to pass from one stage to the next. Occasionally, the beer drinker, you can even slip back, especially after testing a particularly strong wine he (or she) does not care. My beer drinking was making good progress until we went to a wine tasting, where he was tempted by a very expensive wine. Also proved to be a very dry red wine. For someone still in Riesling and sparkling wine, which was too much too soon. They have not given up yet. The process continues and one day I will get to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine at dinner with my reformed beer drinker.
