Beer Stuffed Turkey

How do I tell my roommate is a complete idiot w / o damage to our friendship?
lol, the title is more like a joke but seriously listen to me. My school buddy / friend of 12 years has money problems. I respect him, which makes loans of works and goes to school. I had the luxury of my tuition paid but I still have to pay for housing, groceries, etc. ect. I work part time and make 150-200 dollars a week. I have little cash, but nothing to worry about. My question, my roommate can always complaining about money, grocery stores than ever because it is always broken. I spend about 40-60 dollars a week on groceries (I am a very healthy eating, tuna, wheat, oats, spinach. Canned fruits, skim milk, turkey, ham) and used for eat until I got angry and said no, never go shopping to buy their own material. But being short of money supply has no problem fastfood everyday! yes seriously. Also pizza orders twice a week. Purchase of beer twice a week. Probably spends more than $ 100 a week for that. How do I tell, Kyle ra complete idiot, okay? lol
well if something comes up and complains about not having this or that just tell him it's not your fault, you do not make enough to buy food, and it's not your fault you can not budget your money on things that are important. If he has no problem being broke oh well. Just make sure you understand their food is not food, and decides to spend money on healthy food and not beer. Maybe try suggesting that they buy the ingredients to make your own pizza or meat for him his own hamburger. You could grill or something. I had some kind neighbors sometimes make dinner together or each other, because the bonding time the most you can make a healthy meal and not spend tons of money. good luck.
