How to make my own beer?
I need a recipe on how to make beer. I only want to make like a gallon of beer, not a lot like the common found recipes online. Thanks so much! Also, home made as in I dont want to buy brewing things from a brewing store.
That’s like saying that you want to make a tiny atom bomb to remove a stump from your back yard. Some thing require the “economy of scale”. That is why all the recipes and real equipment kits are keyed to 5-gallon batches.
Start out with a copy of a book by Papazian, The New Complete Guide to Home Brewing. The first 40-odd pages will give you the principles involved and tell you what you need. You can either buy a good kit or you can make some of the equipment yourself. Many of us combine the two. Pick a recipe that sounds interesting, preferably an all-extract ale, and give it a try. The chances are that you will enjoy it enough to make another batch. And another. And another. . . .
