Beer Starter Kit

beer starter kit
Home made brewing question?

I have a few craft beer, so I'm getting a starter kit. For beer finished is better to keep it in a barrel or bottles? I would prefer a barrel, but the thing you do is keep cool beer? You can keep bottles in the refrigerator. I prefer a barrel yet, but interested, if I had room temp beer.

Barrel is much easier than bottling. Easier fill / clean / disinfect a gallon corny five barrels of fifty bottles 12 oz. But the benefits with bottles is that you can store some in the fridge to keep cold and the initial cost is less, if you collect pop-offs (do not have to buy, you can reuse). All you need to buy are the bottle caps, no CO2 tank or extra refrigerator that is required. With a barrel, you have to cool the entire batch in the refrigerator or kegerator before serving a faucet. But you need to buy barrel and tap, and the CO2 tank to the total of about $ 75 or less. In addition, you will have to find a refrigerator to store, since you probably will not fit all your perishable foods. If you're starting, begin with bottles because it is cheaper (although more work). I usually advise this first new home brewers, since it is not sure if I keep it. If you find that you enjoy home brewing, you might want to invest in Barrel computer when you have the money (Especially if you have lots 2-3 conditioning at a time).
