School violence, drugs and Devil's Brew!

To my mind slightly used, there seems to be a real sanity in the world today, let alone the hallways of our schools. Children today are not really very different from those I knew in my high school years, except that some of the challenges are more than I did as a teenager.

While we had the spirit, not having to deal with him because we knew our parents would deal with us if they found that we were even in the presence of beer of the devil. Grow a good Southern Baptist, my mother thinks that drinking beer, wine or whiskey was a mortal sin. As a result, the guys in my group in high school, did not have much contact with the beverage.

Drugs were definitely not a problem in our old school, probably because most of us knew nothing about them. All we knew about heroin was what we saw on the big screen at the drive-in and judging of the addicts on the screen hell were suffering, does not seem worth the effort, even experimenting with such a thing.

It would not have known where to find him even if he wanted give it a try. Drugs, for us, were something the doctor gave you when you broke your arm or when the dentist is going to extract a tooth. Do not bombard us every day with television programming that represents and drug addicts.

School violence is a concern today is very frightening for students and parents alike. There are many reasons for young people to kill each other today, but most of them have to do with drugs. In years of high school my past, there was only one reason to fight, always with his fists and never with a gun or a knife. Girls!

If violence had erupted in school grounds at the time, had been the cause of a girl! The honor of a man had to be avenged if there had been an invasion of perception in the votes of "boyfriends." There were a lot of positions at the time, but I can not remember a single fight. I remembered one, if only for entertainment value.

The same case today, as it has since the beginning of time. But nowadays girls are different. They're all movie stars! Girls back then simply did not seem to do today. If girls today had appeared in our school yards, we would have thought he had arrived there via a time machine! Violence is certainly more serious than it was in my old high school.

I do not remember ever being a serious struggle for time I was in first grade until I graduated from high school. Sure, there were a number of positions for the children during that time, but I can not recall a single punch being thrown. Perhaps there was violence, but as it spread all over the television, we never knew him.

There was a collection of characters threatening to be called rock band, presumably because it sat on a rock wall at the edge of school grounds, jeering and taunting anyone who walked earshot. After a while it became more of a joke than a threat.

shootings school today seem to have much darker motives love life of someone who played with a stranger. The reasons for these atrocities range from someone emptying a shotgun into a class full of people because they were failing algebra, slaughter classmates in the hallway because the devil told them to do so!

A lot has been written about our "troubled teens" I can only remember a guy who could be classified as "troubled." His nickname was Nickel Nelson because everybody went to him yell at them for "Gimme a nickel!" Then roll his eyes, waving frantically, then spit on the floor and scream, "Gimme five cents!" Each one gave five cents! Twenty years later I heard that he owned a Chevrolet dealership in Kentucky, an AA baseball team, hockey team and a section Arena II football team. It became so our "troubled teen." Who knew?
