What wine / beer is nice with Chicken Carbonara?

I'm making from scratch Chicken Carbonara a date night. I would really appreciate any recommendations for wine or some good beers that match well. Here is the recipe I am using http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/chicken-carbonara-recipe/reviews/index.html Thank you!

With a lean protein as the base, a white wine is usually a better match. With red wines, which contains tannins that can help break down proteins and fats, as with a steak well-marble, but this could rule his chicken. White wines do not contain it seems lighter and less bitter or dry. Since this plate has the richness of the bacon and egg, I agree that a comprehensive medium-bodied white wines like a Chardonnay or white Burgundy would be delicious. Here are a couple I like thatI think might be good to offer a lot of bang for the price (both are under $ 15): 2007 Joseph Drouhin, Macon-Villages, Burgundy creamy and delicate at the same time, with delicious flavors of pear and apple. ($ 10) 2006 Estancia Chardonnay, Monterey Cty, pinnacles Rancho fresh and tasty, with a small touch of cream in the finish. Not too complex, but very tasty. ($ 11) wine recommendations: http://www.easyfoodandwine.com
