Beer Process

How much pressure is generated during the process of beer brewing?
I've made numerous batches, but this time did not have enough empty bottles. As a substitute, filled a bottle of wine. I hammered in a standard wine cork, but I worry that the pressure in the next 3 weeks slowly remove it!
If there was more than enough sugar added to the beer to be bottled, then no problem just bottle in a soda bottle and store the rest of his preparation .. Carbonate the beer is so is not flat. In a closed bottle of soda can build up enough pressure to blow it up if not enough sugar to ferment.
