Beer Orders Act

Drinking in Scotland?
Does subsection 4 of section 68 of the Scotland Licensing 1976 Act still apply, allowing minors 16+ to order alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine when having a meal?
Legally it has to be in an area separate from the bar and used for serving food. You will also find that places who would allow it also usually insist the person (under 18) should be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent/guardian.
You should also remember that you can’t insist that you be served whatever your age or standing in the law… the licensee always has the right to refuse ANYONE for ANY reason.
