Night Lights Friday Creator Talks TV and Film
Peter Berg, which first appeared as Dr. Billy Kronk on Chicago Hope, has come a long way of dancing to "Wild Thing" to enter the director's seat and the creation of the critically acclaimed film and shows.
More recently, his credits include Friday Night Lights, that from a book that became a successful movie, and later a television program. Shortly before his new film, The Kingdom, starring Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper and Jennifer Garner, opened last Friday, September 28, Berg revealed some things about his work as executive producer of Friday Night Lights.
Berg spoke to the New York Magazine on the production of Friday Night Lights after directing the program pilot.
"Seeing the first assembly of each show, and generally I love everything you are doing, so my role is to be a fan," revealed Berg plunges is about the show. "Occasionally, I'll have an opinion on something. [For example], there is something very dramatic and violent happens in the first episode. I encouraged the producers to carefully consider what the impact would be. I did not want it look like we were being sensational. "
The actor turned director and producer added how it was intense during the summer after facing the possibility of Friday Night Lights not to return to television.

New York Magazine Berg asked what he did after the network agreed to give the go signal time series.

The magazine then asked about how they handled the massive tricks in his new film, The United.
"I had all the jobs that could have on a film set," Berg revealed. "I was a grip, a prop man, a double, a PA. The key to great action sequences is to have a vision of what you want. Long before it started, had beers with our stunt coordinator, playing with toy cars as little children, and I'm saying, 'This car will reach the car, and stray and turn'. "
Also Berg added her opinion about the message of the film and how it represents society of Saudi Arabia.
"I hope that is clear enough the movie is not compatible with religious extremism, but it does support dialogue between Muslims and non Muslims, "Berg said." If there was a Department Tourism Saudi government, that there is, I bet you'd be getting some phone calls to them right now. But the Kingdom has the most optimistic and moderate image of an Arab character that I've seen in a movie. "
