Beer Lambert Law Equations

I need up to calculate the extinction coefficient with wavelength …?

Give me a solution that is 8.64ppm + FeSCN2, where 1 ppm equals 1 mg / L. Has tranmittance of 0.295 when measured in a cell at 580nm 1.00cm. How I can calculate the extinction coefficient at this wavelength? Be I have to convert the 8.64ppm in moles per liter, and do i get a ridiculously small number. Am I doing something wrong because I'm not using the wavelength the equation A = abc (Beer-Lambert law). Help!

no, you should be fine. you're right you need to convert moles per liter through molecular mass. provided that you did not make a calculation error, it should be fine. Also, you need to convert the transmission absorbance formula a =- log (T/100), where T is the percent transmittance (which must be divided by 100) and then sub in the equation A = A c = concentration = absorbance ECL mol / l L = 1 cm extinctino calculate the "e", and why not use 580nm, is that the specific extinction is calculated only for 580nm. whether to change the wavelength of light, which absorb differently, and you have to calculate a new set extiction
