Is it better to brew at home plastic or glass?
I'm looking to buy what kit craigslist. one is plastic and cost 60 cost another 100 and is made of glass with both 3 per gallon and a gallon in May.
I can use. My beer usually gets two weeks in plastic and then tortured a glass bottle secondary fermentation. The advantages of plastic buckets is that they are lightweight, unbreakable in normal use, and you can enter them for cleaning. The disadvantages are that they can get scratched, making cleaning more difficult, and collecting the aromas of the hops. I avoid this that we had primary fermenting wine and beer (And I use to disinfect soak only). I suggest starting with the plastic and haunting flea markets for glass bottles.
