Beer Kit Instructions

Should I boil a total of 5 gallons?
I just started brewing extract and I have made a few batches of beer from kits and instructions tell me to boil 3 gallons or so. If I have a pot large enough (my pot is 7.5 gallons) should I boil a total of 5 gallons of water to make my grass?
The only benefit to a full boil with the extract is that it ensures that their wine begins sterile. If the water tap water is drinkable, the chances are very good that sanitation is not necessary. Wait until you get to all grain brewing using a 5-gallon boil. In front, you can get (or create) a wort chiller. You can cool your beer extract in a matter of minutes, saving the water that runs through the cooler, you have hot water for cleaning. The refrigerator is an absolute necessity when you boil 5 gallons of wort. You do not want the juice exposed to air longer necessary.
