How can people drink so much beer?

Does it increase the thirst for beer / hunger? I do not understand the physiological aspect of drinking beer as people are able to drink large quantities of beer, but if someone tried to drink 8 cans of soda or 8 glasses of OJ would not result. Is there a component of beer as the hops or the yeast that enhances the ability of a person to drink plenty of beer??

Alcohol has something to do with it. Alcohol dieuretic is a natural, so you may have noticed that you have to urinate very frequently when drinking. This would make the thirsty beer drinker as well as "making space "for more light beer." beers more common to see people who drink heavily in the U.S. are cheap lagers. They have no taste very strong and there are not much sugar. This means that water has properties similar to slightly alcoholic. As we all know, you can drink the water very quickly. Alcohol makes you want more of the same, so it must go. I've never seen anyone take a massive amount of strong beer, as the ruin of Stone IPA or arrogant bastard ale.
