Beer Ice Cubes

What is the best way to keep an ice cube cold?
We are doing a science "experiment" that we must have a ice cube in a plastic bag in a frozen glass of 600ml. We can not put anything around the beaker, but we can put things in it always and when there are cooler than the room (like a bag of ice or dry ice). I have a couple of ideas, laying on the sand the beaker around the bag, putting the bag in a beer cooler and putting it in the cup, la, idk when I got it, pickling salt? Thanks for all the suggestions. I will tell my partner and see if they will agree with you or me. (That probably will)
I agree with Alex, put the ice cube in a vacuum will reduce melting point, due to conduction and convection. The trick is to suspend the ice cube so it is not touching anything that may increase its temperature. If it comes to playing the stock market, stock heat will help melt it. This is what I would do. Get a small jar (like a jar of baby food) and make holes a small hole in the lid (about 1 / 8 inch) Get a thin piece of rubber (such as an old inner tube) and cut a small patch to cover the hole in the lid. Put some super glue in the patch, and tail to the outside of the lid. Make sure the patch is only partially attached, must be able to lift over the hole so that the air outside the glass. The glue is used only to hold it in place. Then get some sewing thread. Cut long enough to allow draw the party around the ice bucket, and tape inside lid. This will allow the ice cube to hang in the air or that is half empty. Just make sure that tape is not covering the hole in the lid, which is bad. Now all you need is a way to suck the air. Get a small birthday candle, light, and let drip some wax on the outside of the lid, then quickly stick of candle wax, to keep the candle upright, then blow out the candle. Now all you need is a slightly larger bottle, which fits around the jar of baby food, but must fit inside the cup, a cup run as well, and you will need a little water too. When it comes time for the experiment, pour about 1 / 8 inch of water in the beaker of 600 ml. Ate ice cube with the thread, ribbon the inside of the lid (do not remember to plug the hole in the lid), place the lid on the jar of baby food with strength, and puts it in the beaker. Lite candle and place the larger bottle and glass over the jar of baby food. The water in the glass seal off the air in the bottle, the candle burns the air in the bottles, seal (trap) will allow the air out of the baby food jar, and seal the hole, not to let the air back in the bottle. That is going to have a "double isolation" vacuum. His desire to create a vacuum in the jar of baby food, and a gap in the outer bottle / glass too. There will be heat in the bottle outside, because the candle lit up the air, so you may want to remove it when the candle goes out, the only candle that burns for a few seconds before the air is gone. Just remove the carafe foreign / glass, which can be difficult to make because of the cleaner. Try it on your first home, the exterior vacuum might actually help. If there is no air, conduction and convection can not occur. Read this. Http: / / www.explainthatstuff.com / vacuumflasks.html Hope this helped you, good luck!
